PRIVACY POLICY

Your context stays yours.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Context Relay is a Chrome extension that helps users carry useful conversational context between supported AI assistants. This policy explains how the extension handles information.

Information the extension handles

When you use Context Relay, it reads conversation content on supported websites only to create the handoff you request. This can include messages, conversation titles, your continuation instructions, notes, and saved handoffs.

Local storage

Captured conversations, settings, notes, and handoffs are stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage and IndexedDB. Context Relay does not operate a developer-controlled server for this data.

Data sharing

Context Relay does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or transmit it to the developer. When you choose to continue in another AI assistant, you review the handoff before it is placed into that assistant. The destination service processes information according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Permissions

Your controls

You can review and edit handoffs, redact likely secrets, configure retention, export backups, and delete locally stored contexts from the extension. Removing the extension also removes extension-managed local data, subject to Chrome’s behavior.

Security

Context Relay uses Chrome’s extension security model and requests access only to supported AI assistant domains. No system can guarantee absolute security, so review handoffs and avoid sharing secrets with destination services.

Changes

This policy may be updated when features or data practices change. The latest version will remain available on this page.
